Hansi Verdorfer represents a distinctive and contemporary interpretation of South Tyrolean wine– precise, modern, yet deeply rooted in origin. As a third generation winemaker, he founded Riedingerhof to follow his own path and works today as a true récoltant: from vineyard to bottle, every step remains in his hands.

His 4 hectares around Merano, spread across 6 parcels, allow him to express subtle site differences and the individuality of each grape variety with clarity.
From five days of skin fermentation for Sauvignon Blanc to twelve months on the skins for Chardonnay “Danfora,” Hansi rethinks what South Tyrol can be. Wood or amphora are not stylistic statements, but tools he uses to shape structure, texture and depth with precision.
Weißburgunder, Vernatsch, Manzoni Bianco, Blauburgunder and Sauvignon Blanc remain true to their place while carrying his precise, calm and subtly adventurous signature.
