Prélude Crémant, AOC Crémant d’Alsace 2023, Domain Gross

Alsace | France

Character & Style

A dry, precise Crémant with fine bubbles and plenty of freshness. White fruit and floral notes shape the nose. On the palate, Pinot Auxerrois brings a soft, juicy texture, while Riesling adds tension and bright, crisp acidity. Despite its dry, precise character, Prélude remains rounded and balanced, without any sharp edges. Lively and focused, with a gentle grip and a long, fresh finish.

Origin & Vinification

Prélude is made from 80% Pinot Auxerrois and 20% Riesling grown on loess soils in the lower part of Gueberschwihr. The grapes are harvested by hand, selected directly in the vineyard and slowly pressed over 8 hours.

The base wine spends 6 months on its full lees, followed by 18 months of ageing on the lees in bottle. The Crémant is bottled as zéro dosage, neither fined nor filtered, and was disgorged in April 2025.
