LoHer is a family winery founded by Don Lorenzo Hernández more than 25 years ago in the town of La Victoria de Acentejo in the north of the island of Tenerife under the DO Tacoronte-Acentejo. 

However, LoHer project began in 2014 when Fátima Hernández became more involved in the family winery and began to bottle wines her way. She also changed certain ways of working in the vineyards and the winery. Today, Fátima´s father, Lorenzo, manages the vineyards while Fátima takes more control of the winery.

The LoHer project is based on adding new techniques to family traditions without losing the essence of their craftsmanship, as well as producing wines that represent the grape varieties and the area where they come from. 

At LoHer, they practice environmentally friendly viticulture, with minimal and only necessary, intervention. When ageing their wines, they prefer to use French oak barrels as they are more compatible with the style of wines produced at LoHer.

LoHer works in the municipalities of La Matanza, La Victoria and El Sauzal. Their vineyards are mostly Listàn Negro vines but they also have small quantities of Listàn Blanco, Malvasía, Negramol, and Castellano Negra. More recently, Lorenzo has also introduced some Gual and Vijariego Blanco. However, the hallmark of LoHer is the old vines of Listàn Negro.

Fátima makes it clear that the wines produced should speak of the place, the soil, the grape variety, and the identity of the person making them.
