Andrea Scovero's winemaking philosophy emphasizes quality and tradition. He practices organic and biodynamic farming methods, ensuring that his wines are produced sustainably and with respect for the environment. These methods ensure that his wines are produced in harmony with nature, without the use of synthetic chemicals or pesticides, which enhances the health of the vineyard ecosystem and the quality of the grapes. His vines, some of which are over 45 years old, are cultivated in calcareous soils at an elevation of approximately 250 meters above sea level.
Scovero produces a variety of wines, with notable ones including "Ciapin" Barbera d'Asti and "Il Clown" Nebbiolo. The "Ciapin" Barbera d'Asti is known for its rich and juicy profile, featuring notes of wild berries, spices, licorice, and balsamic herbs. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks and is aged for 6-7 months without fining or filtering. "Il Clown" Nebbiolo, on the other hand, comes from a site that Scovero himself planted in 2007, and it showcases the warm, south-east facing terroir.
